Job Description: Senior Product Design Engineer – Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Senior Product Design Engineer specializing in Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, development, and component selection of fluid power systems, with a particular focus on Hydraulic Control Panels and Hydraulic Power Packs. As a senior technical leader, you will operate with minimum hand-holding, using SolidWorks to translate client inputs into functional engineering systems, managing a design team, and serving as the primary point of contact for international clients. Key Responsibilities · System Design & Integration: Independently design complex hydraulic and pneumatic systems, specifically focusing on the complete architecture of hydraulic control panels and multi-variant Hydraulic Power Packs. · SolidWorks Design: Utilize SolidWorks to create, review, and finalize precise 3D CAD models, structural assemblies, and production layouts. · Engineering Calculations: Perform accurate engineering calculations to determine proper sizing, flow rates, pressure drops, buckling analysis, and structural limits. · Component Selection: Evaluate and select critical fluid power components, including valves, pumps, manifolds, cylinders, seals, and fittings. · Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and lead a team of design engineers, ensuring engineering standards and delivery deadlines are strictly maintained. · Client Coordination: Serve as the technical point of contact from project initiation to final deployment, managing engineering requirements, change requests, and technical validation with the client. Required Qualifications & Experience · Education: Minimum BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or related fluid power specialization). · Experience: 8 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in product design within an industrial manufacturing or fluid power environment. · Software Proficiency: Expert-level working knowledge and hands-on experience with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and sheet metal/assembly design. · Domain Expertise: Proven track record in complete system design for Hydraulic Power Packs and functional logic for Hydraulic Control Panels. Key Competencies & Travel Requirements · Autonomy: Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, building design packages directly from base customer specification sheets. · Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the confidence to handle technical reviews with global partners. · Global Mobility: Must be willing and ready to travel abroad to client locations for short durations as needed, specifically to the USA for design reviews, testing, or system commissioning. · Visa Requirement: Candidates possessing a valid US Visa (B1/B2 or similar) will be strongly preferred to facilitate immediate or short-notice international travel.
