Senior Merchandiser and Product Development Location: New Delhi Experience: 3–4 years Employment Type: Full-time, Work from Office Salary: As per industry standards About Mutt of Course Mutt of Course is a homegrown pet lifestyle brand creating thoughtfully designed, functional and fun products for pets and their humans. We are looking for a Senior Merchandiser who can take ownership of a product from concept to production, someone who understands design, sourcing, costing and manufacturing and is comfortable getting into the details. What You’ll Do • Manage the end-to-end product development and production process. • Work with the design team to translate concepts into commercially viable products. • Handle pattern making whenever required and work closely with pattern masters/sample units. • Source fabrics, trims, accessories, packaging and other materials. • Identify and develop new vendors and manufacturing partners. • Prepare costings, consumption sheets and BOMs and ensure products meet target margins. • Negotiate with vendors on pricing, MOQs, quality and timelines. • Manage sampling, approvals and bulk production. • Track production timelines and ensure on-time delivery. • Conduct/coordinate quality checks and resolve production issues. • Work closely with Design, Operations and Management to ensure smooth execution. What We’re Looking For • 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, product development, sourcing or production, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, accessories or related categories. • Strong understanding of fabrics, construction, patterns and manufacturing processes. • Hands-on experience with costing, consumption and vendor negotiation. • Strong sourcing and vendor management skills. • Excellent attention to detail and quality. • Strong follow-up, communication and problem-solving skills. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. • Someone who can independently take a product from “How do we make this?” to “It’s ready for production.” • Being a pet parent/lover is a ++++ The Mutt of Course Fit You should be hands-on, curious, commercially aware and obsessed with getting the details right.
