Engineer

Man & Machine, Inc., a premier producer of specialty keyboards, mice & computer peripherals is looking for a Jack-of-All-Trades Engineer. Someone that likes to do a variety of things and help design and support new products and services for IT. We want someone that is interdisciplinary in nature. Job Requirements: • Prepare, review & submit Design packages for keyboards, mice, and other computer accessories. Design PCBA, membrane & matrix layouts, including Gerbers, drill drawings, silk screen, and all documents involved in communicating PCBA design to vendors • Create, manage, update, or modify the firmware for the micro-controllers used in designs • Create, manage, and update engineering documentation /manufacturing BOMs • Create, manage, review & comment on ECNs related to PCBA / electronic design issues • Experience in reviewing and qualifying suppliers for new and existing products and designs • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, interfacing with factory workers, purchasing, suppliers & customers. • Create product specifications and interface with outside suppliers for product development • Create, verify & validate designs from customers and internal product requirements • Support regulatory requirements for FCC, CE, REACH, RoHS, CMI, etc. • Support for new business proposal efforts • Prepare, review, and submit technical specifications and proposals in an ISO 9001 environment • Establish and maintain effective communication with internal & external customers to facilitate problem identification & resolution (root cause, FMEA) Qualifications • BSEE or equivalent degree from an accredited university • 3+ years of design experience, preferably in consumer electronics • Experience creating electrical schematics, PCBA layout & prototyping • Must be able to work independently • Ability to apply requisite design/development tools as required Salary Range: $90k - $105k
